Rules and regulation for trout fishing

This permit is issued on the condition that he / she observes the rules of the water. Permission may not be sub let in any way.

FLY FISHING ONLY

No Lighting of fires or camping

1,The holder of this permit must produce it on demand to either the association servants or another permit holder, or estate staff upon request.

2,NO LITTER (Take it home)

3,Anglers tackle subject to inspection by authorized persons

4,This permit is not transferable.

5,Permit holders found breaking the above conditions will have their permits withdrawn

6,Fishing in daylight hours only

7,Anglers tackle subject to inspection by authorised persons

8,Maximum 1 rod per person

9,No live bait under any circumstances

10,Name and date recorded on permit.

11,The permit covers the area shown on the map attached.

12,Strict adherence to these rules is a condition of the permission to fish. To avoid doubt the grantor reserves the right to withdraw this permission at ant time without condition if we consider these rules have been breached. Beyond these rules anglers also need to stay within the laws and bylaws at the time and to be aware of these.

13,The season runs from 1st February to 31st October.
14,There is no fishing for Salmon or Sea trout on Sundays.
15,The fishing will be restricted to fly only with spinning allowed only in exceptionally high water.
16,No worms, prawns, shrimps or other natural bait will be permitted.
17,Anglers should release and return all salmon through out the season. Sea trout must also all be returned but with the exception that each rod may retain two sea trout per season.
18,Due to the compact size of the river anglers should show courtesy if by chance they arrive opposite one another at the same pool. For example, if an angler has been fishing a particular pool for some time without moving, he/she should stand back and allow the angler opposite to fish past him/her. An angler should never cut in front of one opposite who is already fishing a pool. It is important to pay attention to these points to protect the quality and enjoyment of the fishing for all concerned.
19,You will be required to make an accurate return of your catch giving dates, the number of fish caught, individual weights, pool where it was caught and type of fly used.
20, Anglers fish at their own risk, please be careful and enjoy your fishing.

This permit covers fishing the Little Leny. Parking only in recognised parking places.

£150.00 cost of combined season permit for adult and £75.00 for concession(OAP 65 and over or youth 16 to 21), covers both the Little Leny and the upper Balvaig river and must be written on permit
