Roadside fishing regulations.

A roadside fishing permit is issued on the following conditions,any breach of which may lead to its cancellation.

General conditions for game and coarse fishing (salmon / sea trout / brown trout ) perch and pike.All salmon and sea trout must be returned.

1.This permit is valid only for the named person and entitles him/her to fish with a single rod ( pike fishers are allowed 2 rods) and line in the water as described on the permit.

2.It is granted on the strict understanding that only legal methods of fishing will be used. All fish caught under 10 inches in length must be returned to the water uninjured

3.Fishing on sunday for salmon or sea trout is prohibited

4.The permit must be exhibited on demand to any officer, Forth district salmon fishery board or the police, as must fishing tackle and /or any fish   caught

5.The waters are to be approached only by the recognised accesses. No vehicular access to foreshores is permitted. Private cars are not permitted   on forest roads unless specifically authorised.

6.Keep dogs under proper control at all times

7.The disturbance of game or live stock must also be avoided and the holder must shut all gates which he / she has opened.

8.The holder is expected to give every assistance in the prevention of illegal fishing,damage to property or any contravention of any of these               conditions.

9.The bailiff reserves the right to refuse permission to fish to any person.

10.All anglers must adhere to national angling legislation.

11.All anglers must adhere to the Scottish outdoor access code.

Additional conditions for coarse fishing (pike and perch).

1.No diving minnows.

2.All rigs and tackle used for pike fishing must employ a wire trace at all times.

3.Unhooking mats must be used when handling pike.

4.All pike to be returned.

5.Purpose designed rod rests and run indicators must be employed when bait fishing

6.Avoid excessive noise or other disturbance to wildlife, nesting birds, and farm animals

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL OF THE PERMIT IMMEDIATELY
